The Home School Legal Defense Association is a non-profit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional rights of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. HSLDA currently has over 60,000 member families. They will defend your family legally if you have any legal problems associated with homeschooling, but only if you are already a member. Heritage Builders highly recommends membership.

The Indiana Association of Home Educators is a non-profit organization founded for the purpose of serving the Lord Jesus Christ through supporting and encouraging families interested in home education. Its primary functions include maintaining visibility as home educators with civil government leaders, influencing the legislative process, sponsoring seminars for parental education and publishing a free bi-monthly magazine, the IAHE Informer. Heritage Builders highly recommends the annual convention that IAHE sponsors.
